About Mini Hobo Bags

Mini Hobo Bags started in 2010 in a rural CT basement. A hobby gone viral, it is the brainchild of Linda Halliday, a sewer since she was 10. We started selling bags at local craft fairs and it just kept growing. When we retired from our day jobs, we moved all operations to our Tucson home. Husband David helps with fabric shopping, washing, cutting and show setup/takedown. It is a true mom and pop shop. We still do local markets as well as e-tail. Thousands of bags have been sold since those basement days, and every bag made gets the same love and care as the first one did.

About the construction of the bags

Mini Hobo Bags are handmade by Linda in our Tucson home on vintage machines. Made from 100% cotton, they are fully lined and actually have a third layer between the shell and the lining. This makes them very sturdy. Two large, lined interior pockets keep everything in. A loop of ribbon is installed to hold keys, lanyard, etc. These bags are classic tote size, 14"x14"x4.5". Two 24" lined, cloth straps make the bag easy to shoulder or simply carry. They are Scotch-guarded for stain resistance but should they get dirty, they are fully washable. Top quality construction and stitching throughout. Durable fabrics, serged interior seams, and attention to detail put MHB way ahead of the competition. These bags are built to last.
